The new tourism governance scheme led by the Balearic Islands Strategic Tourism Agency (AETIB) reinforces the role of local councils in improving the quality of destinations. Funding will go towards initiatives ranging from implementing quality systems (SICTED) to developing Smart Tourism Destinations (STD), with an expected investment of €10 million.
